There will be no chess club on Friday November 21st or 28th. Chess club will resume on Friday, December 5th.

Now that the grass has dried out a bit, Walking Club is back on. If your child participates in Walking Club, please be sure they wear appropriate walking shoes on Tuesdays and Thursdays. The list of Walking Club double and triple days can be found under the Extracurricular->Sports menu.

The café is pleased to announce the new Friday Cougar Breakfast Program. Breakfasts may be purchased between 7:30am and 7:45am Friday mornings, and all food and beverage must be consumed inside the café. See the Lunch Menus page under the News and Info menu for November breakfast choices.

 WEEKLY HELP WANTED Minimize

  • THE HOLIDAY BAZAAR IS ALMOST HERE AND WE NEED ELVES! Mark your calendars for Saturday, December 6 from 10:00 to 5:00 in the HSCS Gym.
  • SET UP AND CLEAN UP:  We need a volunteer to head the set up and clean up of the Bazaar!  Tasks include helping direct vendors to their space and supervising and coordinating volunteers during the clean up efforts!  Contact Misty Broesicke at cookieleejewelry@cableone.net
  • VENDORS WANTED:  We are still looking for great vendors!  Keep your eyes and ears open for those who could participate in selling at the bazaar.  Booth spaces are priced from $50 - $60.  Contact Misty Broesicke at cookieleejewelry@cableone.net
  • GIFT WRAP STATION: Volunteers are needed during the following shifts
    10:00 - 12:00 (two volunteers)
    12:00 - 2:00 (one volunteer)
    2:00 - 4:00 (two volunteers)
    4:00 - 5:00 plus a little clean-up (two volunteers)

  • KIDS'STORE: Wanted - donations for this area.  This is the opportunity for children to purchase a small gift for their parents for Christmas.  Perhaps you could find a cute coffee mug, lightly used book, gadget you never opened, picture frame, ornament, etc. to donate to the cause.  Also, wrapping paper, lightly used gift bags, bows, small boxes, and tape would be greatly appreciated. HSCS Food and Coat Drive

We can make a difference!

Our Food and Coat drive is going on now!
Food Donations can be brought to your child's class or to The Merc.
Coats can be left in the donation box by the school office.

Our focus this week will be on the Thanksgiving Baskets that our local Food Banks
supply to those in need. On November 17 we will deliver donated food items.

The following items are most needed:
Canned Pumpkin, Cranberry Sauce, Evaporated Milk, Canned Yams,
Gravy, Stuffing, Broth, Olives, Instant Mashed Potatoes, and Canned Fruit.

      • Two of every three people who rely on the Food bank are either children too young
        to work or seniors who have worked most of their lives.
      • 79,183 Idaho children (21%) are food insecure, the 6th highest rate int he country.
      • One in eight Idaho children - 52,500 - go to bed hungry every night.

HSCS K-Kids Are on the MOVE!

  • Gently Used Stuffed Animals- Please bring gently used stuffed animals to school to donate to the Ada Co. Paramedics through Friday, November 7th.
  • Parents' Night Out- Saturday, November 15th , 2:30-7:00pm. Parents get some time to enjoy the game, shop, or enjoy the quiet while the kids play games, dance, and eat pizza.
  • Hidden Springs Firehouse Outdoor Clean-up- Wednesday, November 12th 3:15pm.  Everyone is welcome!
  • Friday Food Drive Help- The PFA needs help boxing donated food on Fridays after school.  What are you doing after school?  Come join us!
  • HS Community Farm Children's Garden Clean-up- Information will be coming home in the family envelopes.

 Hidden Springs 3rd Annual Turkey Trot
Saturday, November 22nd – 9am
Hidden Springs Charter School

Come join us for the 3rd annual Turkey Trot.
Start the holiday season off with a 1 mile fun run for the kids.

Race entrance fee donation: 2 can goods or 1 warm coat
(or more, if you would like)
 to benefit the Meridian Food Bank & Boise Mission

We will have a short course for pre-school/strollers and a 1 mile fun run for kids Kindergarten & above.

Start the morning out with the Pancake Feed at 8am.
(Proceeds will go to HSCS)

Hidden Springs Charter School Holiday Bazaar
Saturday, December 6th
In the Gymnasium
10 a.m. - 5 p.m.

The Hidden Springs Charter School Holiday Bazaar is quickly approaching and there are some things we would like for you to consider before the big event. First, plan to attend the Saturday Bazaar sometime between 10:00 & 5:00 because there are so many things going on you won't want to miss out! Second, there are over 30 vendor booths all carefully selected to ensure quality and diversity. We are currently asking our parents and Hidden Springs Neighbors to apply for vendor spaces. Please inquire to Misty about availability of booth spaces BEFORE OCTOBER 15th. Please help support this fun event and plan your day in the school gymnasium on December 6th!

9-Week Music Theater Program

Treasure Valley Institute for Children's Arts is producing A Holiday Music Theater Program. This is a 9-week theater program where children will learn about singing, acting, staging, and choreography as they work towards a public holiday performance in December. No auditions to qualify.
